Teaching Social Sciences to (to include A Level Sociology, Level 2 and 3 BTec Health and Social Care) following Departmental Schemes of Work and relevant subject specifications.
There is a TLR available to lead Health and Social Care.
· contributing to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessment;
· setting and marking homework according to school and departmental policies;
· integrating the development of key skills (numeracy, literacy and ICT) into their teaching;
· monitoring and assessing students according to departmental and whole school policies;
· contributing to departmental meetings;
· maintaining a safe and attractive learning environment.

· contributing to the further development of whole school policies and practices;
· serving as a tutor with responsibilities for student academic tutoring, behaviour, welfare and guidance;
· carrying out appropriate school duties, including general lunchtime duties on a voluntary basis;

· fostering business and community links;
· being willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities;
