We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Primary Care team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre which can hold up to 450 detainees.
Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre is a detention centre based on the grounds of Gatwick Airport, Crawley, West Sussex. Gatwick IRC provides a 24/7 service, the working hours will vary and you will be working Twilight shifts (Hours to be discussed).
Hours - 37.5 hours a week - Monday - Sunday between 07:00hrs and 21:00hrs
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £38,010 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a GPHC registered Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Provide outstanding quality based detainee centred care to our detainees seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Focus on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring detainee medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.

Qualifications required
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
