The Role:
1. Plan and Coordinate Transport Operations: Use your expertise to schedule routes, allocate resources, and ensure efficient delivery of goods.
2. Work with Transport Management Software: Experience with planning and scheduling software is essential to streamline operations and maintain accuracy.
3. Driver Management: Supporting drivers, ensuring they comply with current legislation and high company standards.
4. Problem Solving: Quickly and effectively handle any logistical challenges to keep operations running smoothly and at optimum levels.
5. Customer and Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to provide first-class service and resolve issues promptly.
Requirements:
1. Transport Planning Expertise: Experience in transport planning and scheduling is essential.
2. Fleet Planning: Planned as trampers due to the wide customer base with multiple requirements. Planning experience in this environment would be highly advantageous.
3. Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using transport management/planning software.
4. Performance Measures: Our clients' contracts are based on performance measures, which must be hit, but there are earnings targets that must be exceeded for planning efficiency and rate.
