An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Financial Crime team. We are seeking a Transaction Monitoring Analyst who will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with financial crime regulations through the detection and prevention of financial crime. Prior experience of Transaction Monitoring, transactional analysis, SAR disclosures and DAML are a key requirement of this role. What you'll do Review transaction monitoring alerts to identify instances of financial crime and fraud, including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions violations, bribery, and corruption. Detect and highlight unusual patterns and suspicious activities through meticulous monitoring of transaction histories and account behaviour. Utilise comprehensive customer information to conduct in-depth investigations into trends and typologies. Undertake transactional analysis to thoroughly investigate the alert to determine if it should be discounted or disclosed to the NCA. Draft SARs for disclosure, including a clear and robust rationale on financial crime concerns and the identifying any proceeds of crime and DAML requirements. Maintain meticulous records and generate insightful reports detailing actions taken on accounts. Provide support to the Financial Crime Manager and Head of Financial Crime in various ad hoc tasks. Undertake additional reasonable duties that may arise periodically, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team and organisation. What you'll have Strong technical knowledge of the UK financial crime regulatory regime across all areas of financial crime, including AML, CTF, Fraud, Sanctions, PEPs, ABC, and Market Abuse. Comprehensive understanding of businesses, structures, governance, control frameworks, and process & control infrastructures within the financial services sector. Experience of transactions monitoring systems, analysing alerts, SAR and DAML disclosures. Ability to work independently and engage with people at all levels of the business. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work well within a team, Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant professional qualification. Experience in a similar Financial Crime role within Financial Services, preferably in the pensions or platform sector. Expert knowledge of FCA expectations relating to financial crime, JMLSG guidance, and relevant financial crime legislation. Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities. Developed influencing and negotiation skills. Resilience, tenacity, and the ability to provide effective challenge.
