East Coast College - Principal & Chief Executive
Permanent | East Anglia | Highly Competitive
Vacancy Description
We are delighted to be working with East Coast College (ECC), one of the most successful and progressive community-based colleges in the UK, to recruit their next Principal and Chief Executive. The College sits at the heart of the communities it serves, with an unrelenting focus on the student experience, demonstrated through its ongoing commitment to its capital estate (£60m), and its responsive employer led provision. Through the delivery of sector leading outcomes for students and well-established partnerships with regional stakeholders, ECC is well positioned to underpin economic growth, drive productivity, widen participation and promote prosperity across the Norfolk and Suffolk region.
This is an exciting time for a new Principal and Chief Executive to work with the Board to deliver the region’s skills agenda, through inspirational leadership, prudent financial management, high quality provision and an unrelenting focus on learner outcomes. You will lead an experienced senior team to deliver a responsive and employer led model that drives quality and promotes innovation, with students front and centre. As the lead ambassador for the College, you will build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders, communities and employer groups across the region to ensure ECC remains their partner of choice.
We are seeking to appoint a proven FE leader who is strategic in approach and knows how to deliver change within a fast-moving and complex operational environment. You will have learners at the heart of all that you do, with a passion for employability, coupled with the expertise of working with a board and the communicational flair to influence, engage and inspire. Your drive, passion and creativity will be motivational, and you will deliver results that drive performance set against ECC’s mission to ‘‘transform individuals and build communities through education’’. This is an exceptional role that requires a highly visible and dedicated professional who understands the importance of a community-based college and who is confident in their approach and thinking to lead from the front.
