Are you looking for a varied working environment? Do you want to work term time only? Do you enjoy working in a challenging and busy environment?
If you answered “yes” to all the above then being part of our expanding School Aged Immunisation Team could be the right opportunity for you.
We have a part-time term-time only Admin/Healthcare Support Worker post available for a proactive, motivated individual who wishes to join the School Aged Immunisation Service. The post available has a Banbury base and will require working across the north and west Oxfordshire. The post is 22.5 hrs per week, term time only.
The role offers a flexible working pattern, to meet service need, which will include the ability to start work at 07:30 when required and some weekend and evening work. Flexibility to attend other areas of the county as needed is also required.
We are therefore looking for an adaptable, flexible person who has excellent administration and clinical skills and who also has experience of working with children and young people.
Your role will be to support the School Aged Immunisation team in organising, managing and delivering the school-based immunisation programme in all schools. You will be required to attend immunisation sessions in schools and community clinics to provide administrative support and within your role as Healthcare Support Worker you will be required to administer the Flu vaccinations to young people following the supply of the vaccine by an appropriately Registered Healthcare Professional. You will also be required to attend vaccination sessions to observe students who may feel unwell post vaccination. Full training will be given.
The role requires travel to schools and community venues, so you need to be a car driver with access to a car. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010. Mileage from base will be paid.
Oxford Health is a great place to work and to be able to showcase the best of yourself when making an application you are encouraged to read the “candidate guide to making an application” which is attached to all roles. Please include details around qualifications (including years these were gained particularly if we need to assess for clinical roles that these are still valid) and ensure that the supporting statement is tailored to the role you are applying for and addresses the essential criteria found in the JD.
