The Role
The Machine Vision Engineer Technician is responsible for integrating and supporting advanced machine vision and inspection technologies and solutions for a wide array of automated inspection applications.
What You’ll Do
1. On-site installation and programming of vision and automation equipment at customers facilities across the United States and Canada;
2. On-site support, troubleshooting, and validation of machine vision systems during project launch and production;
3. Assist with the configuration and deployment of solutions (to include Vision Guided Robotics) utilizing 2D and 3D machine vision technology;
4. Assist and support Engineers with duties of evaluating, developing, and implementing vision application solutions;
5. Technical service and support of custom machine vision solutions, including phone support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues and documenting results;
6. Troubleshoot and diagnose any problems with vision systems and communicate with Engineers for solutions with complicated issues;
7. Skill development through formal and informal training relating to machine vision and robot guidance;
8. Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
* Mechatronic, Electrical, Computer, or other related technical degree with a keen interest and/or experience in machine vision, automation, robotics, or programming;
* Strong math and analytical skills;
* Ability to work with minimal supervision;
* Ability to travel and be away from home for extended periods;
* Strong ability to communicate both written and verbal;
* Ability to travel across the US/Canada border;
* Able to meet the requirements of a TN Visa;
* Possess a valid G Class driver’s license and reliable vehicle;
* Police clearance upon hire.
