Lead regular status meetings on key projects. Innovative Planning: Plan and monitor goods and services using techniques like JIT, Kanban, and Blanket POs. Precision Ordering: Ensure timely and accurate ordering of raw materials, components, and supplies. Inventory Mastery: Manage inventory and safety stock levels to optimize service performance and capital use. Data Management: Maintain material, supplier, and planning system data in the MRP/ERP system. Problem Solving: Perform Root Cause Counter Measures for shortages and develop action plans. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with engineering, production, sales, and operations. Communicate and resolve issues effectively. Data Analysis: Use Excel to analyse data and identify supplier performance improvements. Supplier Collaboration: Ensure material availability and resolve gaps in availability, capacity, quality, and cost. Reporting & Metrics: Report key metrics such as Supplier delivery performance accurately and timely. Special Projects: Lead special projects and new developments with innovative solutions. Cost Management: Negotiate freight costs, Inco, and payment terms. Implement stock holding and call-off systems. Market Tracking: Monitor material markets and introduce cost-saving or process improvement solutions. Compliance & Improvement: Adhere to sourcing policies and regulations. Suggest process improvements adopting Lean Thinking & Culture. Quality Standards: Raise and communicate new quality standards within Purchasing procedures. Supplier Partnerships: Promote Supplier Partnership procedures and develop performance improvement plans. Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and drive process improvements. Qualifications: Extensive experience in material buying and planning in manufacturing/distribution. Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Project). Strong supply chain management and inventory control skills. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Highly motivated, organized, and able to balance multiple priorities. Proven track record in cost reduction and delivery improvement. Strong negotiation skills and understanding of Terms and Conditions. General finance/accountancy knowledge is a plus. Why Join Us?
