POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Programme Quality Lead to join our Quality Engineering team and take ownership of quality activities across all ADL vehicle programmes. Reporting to Mark Brennan, this role is critical in defining, governing, and measuring quality standards to ensure our products meet the highest levels of performance and reliability.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
* Lives and role-models the company values and culture at all times.
* Define and oversee governance of “critical to quality” deliverables for each phase of the Engineering Product Development (EPD) and New Product Development (NPD)
* Lead the measurement of quality readiness for programme gateways, measuring against previously agreed standards.
* Report programme status to ADL senior leadership, with recommendations for improvement
* Lead definition of quality deliverables as part of the definition and implementation of V-System requirements
* Obtain market and warranty data to ensure application of learning to new vehicle programmes
* In cooperation with Engineering, define and implement measures to prevent recurrence of recent warranty failures and other customer issues
* Measure and monitor the delivery of design verification plans, ensuring that they meet any defined quality requirements
* Define the process for “Campaign Prevention Fresh Eyes Reviews”, and, with the cooperation of appropriate engineering subject matter experts, conduct virtual reviews on CAD models and physical reviews on early builds.
* Identify opportunities and execute quality evaluations on all test vehicles, with the intent to identify and eliminate early life failure risks
* Ensure that robust integration testing is in place for the introduction of all software, and that a sufficient range of environments, cycles and combinations of variables are considered before a vehicle is approved for sale
* Support Engineering in the creation of DFMEA, the identification of special characteristics and their cascade through appropriate PFMEA and control plans
* Explore opportunities, with Engineering, to better define reliability performance, with an aim to create specific reliability targets for critical systems and components
* Work with homologation team to ensure all homologation and certification requirements are met
* Manage relationships within engineering, ADL suppliers and across ADL leadership team
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
* Engineering degree or equivalent
* Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent
* Excellent knowledge of quality processes and operating models
* Experience of automotive or industrial design engineering
* Detailed experience of new product introduction processes
* Understanding of systems engineering V model
* Experience in the deployment of: DFMEA/PFMEA/Control plans, Warranty history, Product and process deliverables, Reliability, Design verification, APQP/PPAP and supplier quality performance, Software and calibration development/testing, Certification/homologation, Process and product audit AND Plant quality performance and metrics
* Excellent communicator, both written and orally
* Demonstrable experience of working in and leading multi-functional teams
* Excellent problem solving skills with deep understanding of multiple problem solving methodologies
* Excellent data analytics and statistical analysis
* Driven individual, with an ability to find compromise, while still meeting expectations
