Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Key Account Customs Coordinator for a well-established Freight Forwarder. The company is based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area. Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Customs Manager in supporting the Head of Customs Compliance and senior leadership to enhance company competitiveness and profitability. Execute customs import activities accurately and on time, including financial, legal, and invoicing processes for Key Account traffic. Process all customs import CDS declarations in line with UK HMRC regulations for Key Account operations. Ensure the timely completion of all operational activities. Identify and report any necessary amendments to customs declaration forms while maintaining communication with the designated Key Account. Conduct spot checks on customer entries and submit weekly reports to the line manager. Utilise operational systems such as Descartes and maintain movement trackers. Ensure accurate charging of Import Duties/VAT upon invoicing, in line with SOPs. Maintain strong communication with the sales team, reporting new leads and coordinating shipment handovers. Adhere to company SOPs and compliance standards at all times. Support credit control in following up on overdue customer payments. Respond to and record quotations within two hours of receipt, ensuring consistency in documentation. Implement and enhance workflow efficiencies in collaboration with the line manager. Skills & Experience Required:- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Exports/Imports and Customs Compliance. Knowledge of UK & EU customs requirements and formalities. Experience in road transport, logistics, or haulage (desirable but not essential). Proficiency in CDS system for imports and exports. Knowledge of transit procedures and ETSF (desirable but not essential). Experience with HMRC amendments and reclaims. Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Ability to prioritise workloads, maintain attention to detail, and work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility to accommodate occasional weekend work based on business demands.
