A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Commercialisation Manager to join a cutting-edge business within the life sciences industry. This position will focus on driving the commercialisation agenda of the business, supporting various operations such as sales support, process optimisation and strategic planning.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Norwich. The offered salary for this position is £44,500 - £49,300 depending on experience.

The day to day
1. Overseeing various areas of commercialisation operations, including sales support, process optimisation and strategic planning.
2. Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners and networks, working to raise awareness and the profile of the organisation.
3. Providing coordination and project management for the delivery of collaborative research and commercial projects.
4. Actively working to identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends.
5. Working to optimise internal processes for commercial project management.
6. Supporting the delivery of impact strategies and plans related to commercialisation.
7. Working in collaboration and developing good working relationships with various internal functions.
8. Producing reports in relation to project & portfolio activity as well as activities related to commercialisation.
You will have/be
1. A relevant degree in biological or life sciences OR substantial experience working with this sector.
2. Previous experience with commercialisation, finding routes to market for knowledge/IP.
3. Strong project management background, able to see projects from initiation through to completion whilst managing stakeholder expectations.
4. Significant previous experience of working in an academic ‘technology transfer’ environment.
5. An understanding of processes surrounding knowledge exchange and the commercialisation of research with respect to drivers, constraints and working practices.
6. A solid understanding of intellectual property and the patent process.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive insights and present this information in a digestible way to various audiences.
8. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, including strong negotiation skills.
