Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team, based at our Washington OR Broxburn sites, with monthly travel to Spalding during month end.
About the Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide analytical support and business partnering to operational sites to help plan, understand, and improve the financial performance of the business.
Position Details
This is a full-time, permanent position Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and benefits, with the opportunity to work for a forward-thinking market leader.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare weekly P&L performance information by site for weekly reviews, including variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
2. Reconcile SAGE financial accounts to business unit P&Ls monthly, explaining deviations.
3. Provide targeted financial information to support site budget achievement.
4. Quarterly update financial forecasts to compare expected performance with budgets.
5. Act as a business partner to management, offering insights, guidance, and analytical support.
6. Conduct cost centre analysis during month-end and on an ad-hoc basis.
7. Issue weekly or as-needed cost centre reports to managers.
8. Prepare accruals and prepayments for the business unit.
9. Reconcile balance sheets for the business unit.
10. Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in delivering timely and accurate business insights.
11. Review and control supplier spend, ensuring compliance with Group Authority Mandates (GO).
12. Participate in and support ad-hoc projects within the Finance team.
Qualifications & Skills
To qualify, you should possess:
* Fully Qualified Accountant (desirable)
* Relevant experience in a commercial or finance role within an operational industry such as FMCG
* Proven ability to analyze data and recommend improvements
* Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
* Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and macros
* Excellent presentation and interpretation skills
* Previous business partnering experience (desirable)
