About Homes for Support
At Homes for Support, we are a well-structured and passionate team providing therapeutic residential care for children and young people aged 5 to 16 with emotional and behavioural difficulties and learning disabilities.
To ensure the best support and development for our team, our two- to six-bedroom Residential Children's Homes are located close to our Head Office and in-house Training Venue in Crewe, Cheshire.
What We’re Looking For
To join us as a Team Leader, you should:
1. Have strong written and verbal communication skills
2. Be able to lead a team of professionals in providing child-centred care
3. Demonstrate an ability to support and develop young people in a safe and structured environment
Our team operates on a six-day rolling working pattern. You’ll begin your shift at 08:00, work and sleep in for two days and nights, and then have four days off to rest and recharge.
Your Responsibilities
As a Team Leader, you will dedicate your commitment to one Residential Children’s Home, where you will:
1. Provide and oversee daily care for Looked After Children (LAC), ensuring a safe, clean, and well-equipped home
2. Facilitate access to education, leisure activities, and community engagement
3. Support young people in developing life skills, including independence, budgeting, shopping, and cooking
4. Supervise and lead a team of childcare professionals, ensuring best practices and a high standard of care
5. Advocate for children and represent Homes for Support in partnership with professionals and families

Salary: up to £33,108 (including sleep-ins and before enhanced overtime pay rate/optional additional hours)
Shift Pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off (an average of 10 shifts/10 sleep-ins per month) and 150 hours annual leave (equivalent to 14 days)
