We have a really interesting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Maintenance finance team, on a 12 month fixed term contract. Supporting the team in delivering monthly management accounts, periodic forecasting and budgeting. Being responsible for journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis. Working closely with colleagues both inside and outside of finance. Getting involved in ad-hoc projects and assist in the preparation of statutory accounts. About You You need to be educated to A-Level standard (or equivalent) with GCSE passes in English and Maths. Studying, or a desire to study, towards a recognised professional accounting qualification. You will have experience of working in a finance team with experience of working with computerised accounts systems. You’ll also be a proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite. You’ll need to be an effective communicator, establishing and building relationships across the business to enable collaborative working where applicable. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be able to juggle conflicting priorities and juggle a demanding workload whilst retaining a good eye for detail. You will need to be a good team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, as well as being a proactive, forward thinker with a flexible approach to hours worked.
