SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Completions Team Leader on a permanent basis to be based with one of their clients in North Nottingham. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mortgage Completions Team Leader to manage and lead the Mortgage Completions team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the final stages of the mortgage process, ensuring that all documentation, procedures, and regulatory requirements are met for the successful completion of mortgage loans. You will also be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities: - Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of mortgage completions specialists. Ensure the team meets performance targets and deadlines. Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to enhance performance, productivity, and development. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews with team members. - Mortgage Completion Process Management: Oversee the timely and accurate completion of mortgage transactions, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant. Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., underwriting, legal, and customer service) to ensure smooth progression from mortgage offer to completion. Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policy requirements at every stage of the process. Customer Service & Communication: Serve as a point of escalation for complex customer issues related to mortgage completions. Ensure that customers are kept informed throughout the completion process, providing updates and addressing any concerns. Work closely with customers and external parties (e.g., solicitors, brokers) to resolve any issues or delays. - Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all completions are in line with the company's policies, legal requirements, and financial regulations. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with all necessary mortgage regulations and internal controls. Identify and mitigate risks during the mortgage completion process. - Reporting & Analysis: Monitor team performance and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to mortgage completions. Produce and analyse reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for process enhancement. - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend changes, and implement solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated with industry trends and regulations. Key Skills & Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in mortgage completions or a similar role within the financial services industry. Previous experience leading or managing a team is highly desirable. Knowledge of mortgage products, processes, and regulatory requirements (FCA regulations, Data Protection, etc.). - Skills: Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in using mortgage processing systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
