Are you a Senior Electrical Project Manager from Derry or the surrounding counties like Donegal, Tyrone or Antrim?
Are you looking for a £multi million project closer to home where you will be working with a leading international technical engineering and construction partner, operating across the Ireland, UK and mainland Europe?
Your new company specialise in design and build contracts for end-user clients, with a focus on the Food, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, Data Centre, and Advanced Manufacturing sectors.
You’ll be hands-on, working closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver top-quality mechanical systems while promoting collaboration and maintaining a clear focus on achieving the best results.
Senior Electrical Project Manager Skills:
1. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical project management, particularly on high-value infrastructure projects.
3. Strong understanding of electrical systems design, from RIBA Stage 4 to Stage 5.
4. Proficiency in 3D coordination tools and managing electrical installations from inception to commissioning.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
6. Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results under tight deadlines.
8. Thorough knowledge of electrical regulations, codes, and health and safety standards.
9. Experience managing procurement, tendering, and subcontractor selection processes.
10. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
As a Senior Electrical Project Manager:
1. Manage the procurement of electrical packages, ensuring scope, cost, and programme targets are achieved.
2. Oversee the development and progression of electrical systems design, particularly from RIBA Stage 4 to Stage 5.
3. Collaborate with planners to develop detailed project programmes, tracking installation progress through to commissioning.
4. Drive the delivery of electrical packages, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
5. Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to specifications and contractual obligations.
6. Lead project teams, fostering collaboration and a positive team culture.
7. Act as the primary point of contact for electrical systems, liaising with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
8. Provide mentorship and training to staff, promoting professional growth and improved team performance.
9. Represent the project and organisation professionally at all times, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
10. Lead the resolution of technical challenges during the design and installation phases, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
11. Oversee 3D coordination to address design conflicts prior to installation.
12. Approve electrical materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
13. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation progress and quality.
14. Ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant regulations, codes, and health and safety standards.
15. Prepare and manage project documentation, including progress reports, contracts, and change orders.
16. Ensure electrical installations meet the required design standards and are delivered within budget and programme constraints.
17. Promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
The Package:
Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least to £75,000 plus package.
