Carbon60 are working with a major UK airport who are in need of a Finance Analyst with excellent business partnering skills to join their aviation team. Job Specifics: Salary: Up to £56k benefits 10-20% OTE bonus. Office Location: Hounslow, West London. Working Flex: 3 days per week required in the office. Overview You will play a key role in bringing clarity and insight to the business decisions within the Aviation function. This is a key finance partnering role supporting the airline in the annual development of pricing proposals for aeronautical charges & Other Regulated Charges (ORCs), carrying out impact analysis of the Airport tariffs and help in explaining the different value-drivers to a variety of stakeholders. You will report to the Finance Manager – Aviation and provide financial business partnering support to the Aviation team. The role requires strong stakeholder management, modelling, and evaluation skills; with confidence to operate across a number of stakeholders at various levels. In addition, you will support in the development of pricing proposals and cost recovery, as well as monthly performance tracking and budgeting. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the Customer business partners in the generation of pricing for aeronautical charges & ORCs and any subsequent variance analysis once actual costs & revenues are identified; leading the update of the models determining airport pricing proposals and collaborating with key business partners on assumptions driving these. Taking part in the preparation of other CAA/Airline and business partner reporting requirements so that robust high-quality reporting is delivered to timetable. Assisting the delivery of financial targets by identifying and highlighting risks and opportunities to maximise value to the P&L. Being integral to delivering a meaningful budgeting, planning and long-term planning process that has buy-in from stakeholders; owning and reconciling system interactions as necessary. Providing variance and trend analysis with insightful commentary vs budget/forecast and developing financial dashboards tailored for the business. Consolidating and reporting financial performance and providing management insight on results and implications for the outlook, as well as ad-hoc analysis as and when required. Suggesting, supporting and owning delivery of improvement initiatives for financial and non-financial processes Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure key financial decisions are taken with finance advice and oversight, while supporting stakeholders in delivering meaningful, value-adding business cases (including appraisals, validating financials, and the assumptions of capital/non-capital projects). Essential: Qualified accountant or studying towards recognised qualification – ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent. Experience in financial management within commerce and industry or relevant consulting. Experienced Excel user, with experience in building financial models using advanced techniques. Background in dealing with non-finance colleagues and influencing them to add financial value to the business and minimise risk. Strong analytical mindset with an ability to manipulate large amounts of data and turning it into meaningful information. Experience of gathering, coordinating and presenting complex and diverse financial and non-financial information in a rational, succinct and clear way. Desirable: Knowledge and experience of complex commercial and regulated environments. Experience of supporting high-impact continuous improvement initiatives. Proficiency in operating Oracle Fusion Analytics. Power BI understanding. Experience setting up automations for monthly reporting.
