Sales Manager UK (DIY/Outdoor/Garden Industry)
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales quotas through developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with buyers and online merchants. Growing the business throughout the UK by driving business success and achieving quota goals while simultaneously keeping customers satisfied and engaged with products and services.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
* Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
* Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and customer stakeholders
* Ensure the timely delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
* Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
* Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
* Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
* Prepare reports on account status
* Collaborate with management team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
* Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
* Proven success as Sales Manager, including multi-year sales growth with customers, and consistent achievement of quotas.
* Experience selling DIY Services / Solutions/ products in an Online Retail environment
* Experience working with mass-market retailer/ in the UK market (ASDA, Sainsbury’s Amazon, B&Q, Argos, Tesco, Screwfix, Dunelm, Halford’s and others)
* Online savvy with a critical eye regarding online content, reviews as an end-user/consumer
* Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels of an organization
* Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
* Familiar with SAP advantage but not required
* Detail oriented with experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
* Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
* Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
* Strong work ethic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Willingness to travel 60% of the time
