Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Funded Care Finance Team. The post holder will have a varied remit and will need to have a flexible approach to manage various priorities working in a collaborative manner across the service. The post holder will be required to work under their own initiative as well as working as part of the wider administration team and will demonstrate a willingness to help others, problem solving and be a key member of the team with responsibility for specifically allocated tasks.
Main duties of the job
Most of all we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to get involved, learn and who enjoys being part of a fast-paced environment. This team supports both children and adults, including those who are at the end stages of life and therefore the successful candidate will need to have a calm, caring and responsible nature, excellent communication skills and a commitment to supporting staff in the delivery of patient care.

Person specification
* Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
* Significant administrative/secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
* Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
* Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
* Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
* Knowledge of NHS issues.
* Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information/instructions to staff and service users.
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy working environment and able to multi-task.
* Effective team working.
