Ridgemount care home is a warm and compassionate care home dedicated to providing exceptional support to our residents. Our team believes that good food is essential for well-being, and we’re looking for a talented Catering Assistant to join us in creating nourishing and delightful dining experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
Meal Preparation: Work closely with our Head Chef to prepare delicious and nutritious meals.
Dining Room Setup: Set up the dining room for meal services, arranging tables, chairs, and place settings.
Food Service: Help serve meals to residents, ensuring they receive the right portions. Be attentive to individual dietary requirements and preferences.
Post-Meal Cleanup: Clear tables promptly after meals. Dispose of food waste and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
Crockery and Cutlery Care: Wash and maintain crockery, cutlery, and utensils.
Hygiene and Safety: Follow hygiene protocols rigorously. Keep work areas clean and organized. Report any safety concerns promptly.
Required knowledge & experience:
1. Level 2 food safety certificate.
2. Health & safety procedures including control of substances harmful to health (COSHH)
3. Experience of working with older people

4. Ridgemount is located just 2min walking distance from Banstead Town Centre where bus stops are located. Area is nice and quiet. We have on-site parking where staff can park their cars as well
