The Role
:
As a Research Assistant at theirOPD Eye-Safe Wavelength Materials team, you will provide technical support for research activities, focusing on the fabrication and characterisation of electro-optical devices.
Duties:
1. Plan and perform investigations of new materials for OPDs.
2. Establish structure-property correlations of materials.
3. Investigate the impact of material properties on device performance.
4. Discuss results with the team.
5. Provide next-step recommendations for the project.
Requirements:
Essential:
6. Previous experience working in a similar role.
7. Experience in organic device fabrication, particularly optoelectronic devices.
8. Background in scientific research laboratory within a research and development setting.
9. Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or Physics.
10. Strong communication skills for scientific and technical subjects.
11. Proven ability to analyse and present research findings.
Desirable :
12. Background working in a cleanroom environment.
13. Familiarity with Python, LabView, SQL.
14. Skilled in device fabrication of semiconductor processing equipment (e.g., coaters, evaporators).
