* Full-time, long-term role starting in September 2024
* Earn up to £470 per week as a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant
* Mon-Fri, 32.5 hours per week (term-time only)
* Fully-inclusive SEN school specializing in acute autism and complex learning and emotional difficulties
* Work 1:1 and in small group lessons focusing on developing communication skills and emotional regulation through play
* Children aged 2-11 years with a range of learning needs
* Perfect for aspiring Primary or SEN teachers, educational Psychologists or Speech Therapists
* Graduates of Education and psychology-related degrees are welcome to apply
* Previous SEN experience is preferred but not essential
As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant in an outstanding SEN school in South Sunderland, you’ll work alongside SEN and Primary teachers and other education support staff to promote personalized learning and support for all students. The school offers superb enhanced facilities including spaces dedicated to vestibular development, sensory dens, a role-play village, hydrotherapy pool and large outdoor areas.
The school is located South of Sunderland, a commutable distance from nearby the city, with excellent transport links and main roads directing towards the school. The school welcomes students with acute autism and other complex learning needs; it provides an incredibly rewarding work environment on a newly purpose-built site.
Although applicant SEN experience is preferred, the school offers training to facilitate appropriate support for its students, and is looking for the right individual for the role; someone passionate about getting involved, working with Primary aged students to make a difference to their lives whilst developing their own skillset.
