We are looking for a hardworking Commis Chef Apprentice to join the Guisborough Hall Team on a full time (40 hours/4 days per week) basis.
As Commis Chef, you will work alongside experienced senior chefs, on each of the different sections of the kitchen. The role will suit a hardworking individual, eager to gain experience and development in a busy, award-winning kitchen. We are currently a 1 AA rosette, working towards achieving our second rosette.
Flexibility in this role is essential. Standard hours of work will be on a rota basis, based on 4 days out of 7 (4 x 10-hour shifts). Shifts include, weekends, early, late, bank holidays and splits.
Experience in a similar role is highly beneficial.
The Role:
Commis Chef To contribute to the production of high-quality dishes.
To ensure all dishes are prepared to the desired standard in a timely manner.
To ensure excellent food hygiene practice is observed and maintained, from preparation through to service.
Avoid unnecessary food wastage by following correct kitchen procedures/protocols.
To follow all COSHH guidelines to ensure the safe running of the kitchen.
To undergo relevant training to aid continuous development in the role.
