We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to make a real difference in the lives of students, providing support in the absence of teaching staff.
Job Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor at one of our partner Schools in Basingstoke, you will be responsible for supervising students during lessons in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. You will ensure that students are engaged with pre-set work, maintaining classroom discipline and a positive learning environment. The role requires a proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work effectively with both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support students during lessons and activities in the absence of the regular teacher.
* Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students stay on task.
* Maintain positive classroom behavior in line with the school's behavior policies.
* Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues encountered during lessons.
* Support students with their learning needs, ensuring they have access to the resources required.
Person Specification:
* A passion for working with children and young people.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and support students effectively.
* Ability to maintain discipline and manage behavior in a classroom setting.
* Flexible, proactive, and adaptable approach to working in a school environment.
* Experience in working with children, young people, or in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
