An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fabricator to join a rapidly evolving and busy company based in Eccles. We are looking for a time-served apprentice-trained engineer or an individual with steel fabrication and welding skills.
The role is for one of the leading suppliers of architectural sheet metal work. They manufacture all aspects of fabricated structures and panel systems for key customers all over the UK. The long-standing company is in the process of upgrading its building and interior to move forward into the future. The company has invested in modern CNC machinery and aims to continue to invest to remain a key supplier in its field.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in steel fabrications using Aluminum, Plastisol and other specialised materials.
* Ability to produce fabrications from pre-cut sections and in-house sources.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Tig welding experience in Aluminum is essential.
* Mig welding experience is a requirement.
* Experience in material ranges of 0.7 – 5mm thickness.
* No welding certification is required for this position.
* Ability to use associated hand tools.
* Grasp of modern Health & Safety requirements within a fabrication environment.
* Ability to work individually to defined tolerances and self-certifying in line with ISO requirements.
* General maintenance activities required when necessary.

* Excellent communication skills: high level of verbal and written English required.
* The ability to work to timescales in a challenging environment.
* Plenty of drive, energy, and determination.
