Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Primary School in Thornton (FY5) who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their staffing team on a full-time basis starting ASAP.
The role is to work across the schools KS1 department to support a number of children with identified SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis. The children struggle to access learning inside the classroom so require a full-time support to help them to focus and engage with learning in an supported environment. Some childen can also display challenging behaviours so the school are looking for a strong SEN TA who will be able to build a strong working relationship with the children to help improve their engagement within lessons and their relationships with peers.
The school are ideally looking for a TA who has prior experience supporting children and young people with Autism. If you are interested in the role and have experience supporting learners with other special educational needs, then we would still be interested in hearing from you!
The role is full time and will be on going. The school are looking for an SEN TA who has a positive attitude, is kind and compassionate and has a good sense of humour.
The successful TA will be supported continually by the schools SENDCo and the rest of the SEN support team.
This is a full time role that will start ASAP and will run for the remainder of the academic year. The opportunity for permanent appointment in September 2025 may be possible for the right person.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
