Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Desborough site. This is a 15 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.
As Senior Management Accountant you will contribute to the overall success of the site and report directly to the Regional Head of Management Accounting with a dotted line report to the Depot General Manager and you will be responsible for the production of weekly and monthly Management Accounts for the whole site and its operations
This is a fixed term, full time position working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a market leader.
Job responsibilities of Senior Management Accountant include:
Based at our Desborough site, with some travel to other locations and Head Office you will be responsible for producing weekly costing’s for all customer contracts at site and across other sites.
Responsible for submitting weekly costing’s and KPI information to customers and Head Office.
Produce monthly management accounts for the site.
Investigate and explain variances in the management accounts.
Produce monthly review pack of financial and operational management information for discussion with customers at review meetings.
Produce annual budgets and periodic reforecasts for a number of profit centres.
Invoice and Credit Control customers and update the Company cash forecast.
Deal with site suppliers including self-billing subcontract hauliers on a weekly basis.
Numerous ad-hoc reports and project tasks as required
Responsibility for managing a small finance and administration team based at site.

Qualifications
To apply for the role of Senior Management Accountant you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
Experience of working at a stand-alone site.
Highly proficient in using IT, including MS Office and accounts software.
Excel is a key management information tool, a sound knowledge of spreadsheet writing and analysis of data is essential including the use and creation of macros.
Experienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferral.
Good communicator at all levels up to Board Level and including, operational Warehouse and Transport Managers and staff, customers, suppliers and other internal staff.
Good team-player with the drive to see tasks through to completion and meet deadlines set.
Inquisitive in nature with the ability to take initiative, looking for constant development and improvement of procedures.
Excellent attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy.
Ability to coach and mentor at different levels within the Company, to provide an understanding of finance to non-finance staff.
Have the ability to take on further responsibility and progress into a multi-site role.
