Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work within an innovative, dynamic and growing multi-disciplinary Community CAMHS based in Nottingham covering from Arnold to East Bridgford as well as the City. The children & young people who access our services present with a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties ranging from mild to severe.
You would be joining an established, supportive and hardworking team who are passionate about improving the outcomes for the children, young people and their families/carers. As a Community CAMHS Specialist Mental Health Practitioner you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team offering consultation, assessment and evidence-based interventions to children and young people we serve.
You must be a Registered Nurse, Dip SW or equivalent social work qualification (CSS, CQSW, degree in social work), Allied Health Professional registered with the HCPC and accredited by a HCPC recognised body UKCP/BACP.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the Community CAMHS Specialist Mental Health Practitioner include:
1. Providing mental health assessments and formulations
2. Building therapeutic relationships with children and young people and delivering evidence based interventions (including group treatment)
3. Care co-ordinating an agreed caseload
4. Liaising with and offering consultation to other agencies
5. Participating in the enquiries rota
6. Contributing to all aspects of positive team functioning
7. Contributing to ongoing service innovations and development
8. Providing Waiting Well calls to young people while they wait for assessment, or commencement of treatment

The Community CAMHS teams are welcoming, friendly and dedicated to supporting the children & young people accessing our services. The teams are busy, supportive and encouraging of new and creative ways to innovate and improve the service we deliver.
9. To contribute to the CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA) and CAMHS enquiries rota by receiving and reviewing new referrals where required, identifying and managing risk, liaising with other professionals and providing timely responses
10. Observe and adhere to the Community CAMHS ServiceSpecification, vision, aims and objectives
11. Offer clinical assessment and evidence-based interventionwhilst observing current best practice, legislation andguidance
12. Working within the Choice And Partnership Approach(CAPA) and Children and Young Peoples ImprovedAccess to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT)frameworks and principles
13. Aim to be innovative and creative in the delivery oftherapeutic intervention/care bundle, and offer psycho education to children, young people and families
14. Manage a caseload whilst considering and adhering tosafeguarding policy and procedure and national and locallegislation
15. Offer support and supervision to junior colleagues
16. Plan and successfully manage smooth transitions wherethey are clinically indicated
17. Seek support from the Clinical and Operational Leadswhere needed, as well as accessing regular clinical andmanagerial supervision as per trust policy and professionalregistration requirements
18. Support peers and colleagues and promote a team working environment
19. Ensure suitable risk management and care plans areformulated for all clinical cases
20. Maintain contemporaneous records in alignment with Trustpolicy

22. To participate in the delivery of a range of trainingprogrammes to multi agency staff in conjunction with theCAMHS Training Lead
23. Support colleagues and stakeholders in tackling stigmarelating to mental health
24. Be willing to undertake training relating to the CYP IAPTagenda and other areas of development as outlined
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
This post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period. This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust.
This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays

Essential
25. Relevant professional qualifications ( RMN/RN/HV/OT/Clinical Psychology/Social Worker at degree level or higher teaching qualification

28. Qualification in therapeutic approach/modality ( CBT, DBT, systemic family therapy, solution focused, play therapy etc)

29. Experience of providing mental health assessment and intervention to service users presenting with a wide range of different emotional & mental health needs.

31. Experience of multi-agency and multi-disciplinary working
32. Experience in provision of evidence based treatments and interventions
33. Experience in the meaningful use of Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROMS) in clinical practice.
34. Proven ability to undertake accurate risk assessment and management plans
35. Proven ability to recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns
36. Proven ability to manage a defined caseload and organise diary schedule
37. Ability to maintain accurate case records in line with Trust policies and procedures
38. Ability to use electronic data recording systems
39. Experience of using clinical supervision effectively to enhance practice and client outcomes
40. Ability to be an autonomous practitioner whilst being able to work as in integral part of the MDT.
