Position Overview
As the Rural Director, you will be responsible for growing the rural professional services team, ensuring excellent client service, and identifying new business opportunities to expand the organisation's offerings to landowners and tenants across the North of England.
Responsibilities
* Develop new client relationships and maintain existing ones
* Grow and manage a team of rural surveyors
* Advise on renewable energy developments and lease negotiations
* Provide guidance on rural property sales and acquisitions
* Conduct compensation and compulsory purchase work for clients
* Prepare professional valuations for various stakeholder requirements
* Develop planning applications and assess nutrient neutrality
* Offer strategic planning advice to private and corporate clients
* Ensure adherence to budgets, targets, and expense reporting
Requirements
* RICS accredited, ideally a CAAV registered valuer
* Proven experience in providing multidisciplinary rural professional advice
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship skills
* Ability to lead, manage, and develop a team
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
* Adaptable to change and eager to learn
* Commercially astute with a proactive approach to work
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car
