Job description
Our client, an industry-leading technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. As a Cyber Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing complex cyber security projects. Interim Cyber Project Manager
We are looking for a contract Project Manager for the set up and management of a number of projects identified as improvement activities to enhance cyber security. Examples of dedicated projects include:
1. Secure mobile device access to data and systems.
2. Formalising Back-up, Recovery and Business Continuity exercises.
3. Implement additional security controls on endpoints.
Working closely with the Cyber Security team, you will need to create Project Initiation Documents (PIDs) for each project, and ensure we have accurate scoping and effective planning. Turn high level project proposals into well defined projects, mobilising resources, and establishing the project structures required for successful delivery. You will work with stakeholders and partners, taking early action to address risks and issues and ensure the appropriate level of governance and controls are in place. Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are essential, as well as the ability to lead and manage a team.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Project Leadership: lead and manage a variety of projects of varying scale and complexity with either a system, process or organisational change focus.
5. Team Management: Lead project teams consisting of functional and subject matter experts and technical resources. Working closely with the project sponsor, foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
6. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including executives, team members, and external vendors and partners. Provide regular project status updates and ensure alignment with business objectives.
7. Project Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
8. Scope Management: Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Ensure that project requirements are documented, understood, and met.
9. Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that the implementation stays within approved financial limits.
10. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, develop risk mitigation plans, and proactively address challenges as they arise.
11. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of project deliverables following project management governance and that they meet business requirements and industry best practices.
12. Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies
About the Candidate
Skills and Experience:
13. A knowledgeable It project manager with experience working on cyber projects
14. Exceptional project management and leadership skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
15. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
16. Proficiency in project management tools and software (Ideally Project Planner, Project Online and Azure DevOps)
17. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a dynamic environment.
