Your Role:
Reporting to the Senior System Tester, you will provide support to workstream leads during the development of new, and changes to, existing systems. You will contribute to the successful delivery of outcomes across all workstreams, which require technical development, by delivering solutions and services to enable the output of quality products and meet commercial and regulatory requirements.
This is a complex and challenging role with a varied and changing workload; the ability to manage an evolving workload, with the willingness to adapt to changing priorities and focus quickly will be essential.
Your Responsibilities
- Proactively liaise with the Senior System Tester to provide robust resource and time requirements to support business cases for technical development approval, and to assist in the scheduling of development work.
- Responsible for creating detailed testing technical documentation.
- Accountable for ensuring that all developed solutions meet the business requirements and quality acceptance criteria, through thorough system testing and UAT.
- Responsible for providing support to colleagues through all key stages (testing, implementation and training) of the technical development life cycle.
- Proactively engage with business areas to ensure they are kept informed of testing progress and are fully involved with key decisions, risk discovery and mitigation.
- Accountable for preparing and maintaining technical support documents for developed systems.
- Responsible for the technical guardianship of the Siebel CRM.
- Providing expert system knowledge when training material is being created and assisting the business owner when approving training material.
Your Profile
Essential
- Experience of developing and executing test cases.
- Experience of developing and executing regression test cases to verify new code and defect fixes have not negatively impacted the tests that have already been completed.
- Good knowledge of software testing techniques.
- Experience of system testing, system integration and UAT on a complex and highly integrated project.
- Experience of using a continuous integration environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders to feedback on outcomes of testing and build effective relationships to reach mutually beneficial solutions.
Desirable
- Experience of Azure Dev/Ops.
- Experience of testing APIs.
- Experience of testing data transformations.
- ISTQB/ISEB Testing Certification (Foundation).
- Basic understanding of Microsoft development platform.
- Knowledge of automated testing processes.
