Our client is a long established family run business and have been market leaders of the meat industry for decades. Due to an ever increasing demand an opportunity has arisen for a new Butcher to join this award winning company within the Darlington area.

This role is a temp-to-perm position, with hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Saturday. You'll have Sundays and one weekday off.
As a Butcher, you will be responsible for the following:
* Producing meat for sale including bone out carcasses with good cutting standards
* Ensuring that all food safety and health and safety regulations are met within the butchery department
* Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
* Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products
* Keeping records, budgets, and inventory
* Performing quality inspections on meats and other products
* Coordinating deliveries or order pickups
To be considered for the role of Butcher, you must have previous experience in butchery, as well as the following:
* The ability to understand detailed training
* The ability to complete tasks within defined time limits
* Knife skills are essential
* The ability to maintain a sterilised knife at all times when undertaking the role
* To be enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated
* Adopts a ‘can do’ attitude to challenging situations
* Ensuring health and safety to create a safe working environment for self and colleagues
