Job Title: Head Veterinary Nurse
Location: Kidderminster Area
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time (Flexible schedule available)

The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As the Head Vet Nurse, you will lead and support the nursing team, ensuring high standards of care are maintained throughout the practice. You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the clinical services, mentoring junior nurses, and collaborating closely with our vets to provide the best patient care possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee nursing staff, ensuring exceptional clinical care and smooth operations
* Manage nursing rotas, stock control, and ordering of medical supplies
* Assist in surgeries, including preparation, anaesthetic monitoring, and post-operative care
* Provide guidance and training to junior nurses and student nurses
* Support vets in consultations and procedures, maintaining patient welfare
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering advice and reassurance
* Ensure the practice adheres to RCVS standards and guidelines
About You:
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with at least 3 years of clinical experience
* Prior leadership or head nurse experience is highly desirable
* Strong clinical skills in all areas of nursing, including anaesthesia, inpatient care, and diagnostics
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A passion for delivering high standards of patient care and client service
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment
