Job Opportunity: Autism and Complex Behaviour Service Manager
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Service Manager to guide and support individuals with complex needs and autism, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives. This leadership role involves managing a team, developing person-centred support, and building sustainable circles of support for those in care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement person-centred support plans tailored to individuals with complex needs and autism.
* Establish and lead support networks to ensure each person is at the center of decision-making, with input from professionals and loved ones.
* Promote choice, dignity, and independence while respecting individual preferences and values.
* Facilitate positive risk-taking decisions with individuals and their families, ensuring active participation in their communities.
* Implement and review positive behaviour support plans, providing behavioural analysis and training where necessary.
* Lead and supervise staff, fostering a supportive, reflective, and high-performing team environment.
* Manage housing and tenancy support in line with agreements and regulatory standards, ensuring active participation from individuals.
* Monitor and manage service budgets, ensuring efficient and compliant financial operations.
* Deliver ongoing performance and quality assurance, implementing improvements based on feedback and regulations.
* Promote staff wellbeing, ensuring effective supervision, team meetings, and individual growth opportunities.
What We Are Looking For:
* 2+ years of experience supporting individuals with autism and complex behaviour.
* 2+ years of team management experience.
* Strong skills in developing and reviewing person-centred support plans.
* Ability to lead in Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), with knowledge of best practices in TEACCH, PBS standards, and restrictive practice reduction frameworks.
* Effective communication skills across teams, families, and professionals.
* Experience in managing housing and tenancy support, as well as performance and quality assurance.
* QCF Level 4/5 management qualification (or equivalent) and/or BTEC Professional Certificate in PBS (Level 4), or a commitment to achieve these within the first three months.
