As we continue our mission to make people happy through chocolate, we’re looking for General Operatives to join our Chocolate Manufacturing Team (Packing) on a fixed-term contract basis until the end of the calendar year (14th December 2024).
As a General Operative, you will be responsible for delivering the production plan as part of a high-performing team, pro-actively working to continuously improve performance to KPI’s and ensuring that our products are produced in line with quality specifications whilst ensuring that good manufacturing processes (GMP) are continuously maintained.
Shift Pattern: a rotating weekly shift pattern of 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £11.54 per hour

The on-site location for this role is at our Distribution Centre ‘Alpha’, in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. Whether it’s a bustling event, online order or keeping our store shelves fully stocked, our team at Alpha provide the support network that makes this happen.
Alpha is just off the A1 (Wyboston Interchange) and 3.4 miles from St Neots train station. With free parking on site.
What you’ll be doing….
4. Continuously ensuring line efficiency.
5. Placing chocolate into trays and placing the trays into boxes.
6. Making pallets up with product.
7. Placing lids on boxes.
8. Putting inserts into trays.
9. Cleaning the lines.
10. Stacking product onto moveable trolleys.
11. Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety systems whilst championing a safe working culture and environment.
12. Working to and in line with production control systems.
13. Support Senior Operatives when setting up the line and line changes.
Who you are…
Essential
14. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety.
15. Basic knowledge of KPIs.
16. Good written and verbal English.
Desirable
17. Knowledge of continuous improvement skills.
18. Food manufacturing experience.
