As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, ensuring key controls are adhered to, compliance with reporting standards, and providing concise and timely financial reporting & recommendations to senior management.
The successful candidate should have a passion for developing both people and processes, resulting in an efficient, engaged team. Responsibilities
1. Deliver timely and accurate production of the monthly management accounts to key stakeholders.
2. Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
3. Ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and financial regulations and standards.
4. Develop and implement financial and operational strategies to support business objectives
5. Lead and develop the finance function to be a team of experts.
6. Ensure key financial controls and processes are managed in line with SLA's.
7. Management and development of the financial systems & processes.
8. Develop relevant Financial MI that supports business goals, team performance, and management of risk.
9. Support the Treasury & Taxation function with statutory reporting and annual audit management.
10. Develop and implement financial and operational strategies to support business objectives
11. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
12. Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
13. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong academic background.
14. Extensive knowledge of financial accounting principles, controls, and procedures.
15. Experience of statutory reporting.
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience in implementing process improvements.
17. Experience in managing a finance function and delivering against timely deadlines.
18. Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced change environment.
19. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
20. High level of integrity and professionalism.
