Job Description
What will you be doing?
You will be building and developing trusted relationships with current and potential clients, while being mainly responsible for delivering financial planning and wealth management advice at the highest standard. This role would involve managing a team of x4 Financial Planners while providing support through their career development, monitoring their workload, and building team engagement.
Some of your responsibilities will be to:
* Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members
* Monitor team performance; mentor, manage and support staff
* Lead the team through action plans, reviewing work and ensuring the highest standard is provided to clients
* Execute the annual Business Plan in line with agreed individual targets
* Build new client relationships and maintain and develop existing client relationships through effective ongoing service to help minimize attrition
* Structure and lead client meetings in a professional manner, ensuring all information and advice provided is up to date, technically accurate and meets clients’ needs
* Ensure clients have the right advice to achieve their financial objectives, while understanding and considering the impact of factors such as retirement planning, inheritance, and tax efficiency for individual clients
* Ensure client reviews are undertaken at least annually in line with clients’ changing risk attitudes and strategic requirements
* Work in partnership with Investment Management (IM) and Professional Services (PS) colleagues to develop client relationships
* Maintain the New Business Pipeline (NBP) and ensure all values and dates are up to date
* Ensure comprehensive client records are kept and that these are accurate and up to date at all times and in line with Group policy
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* Previous experience within a Financial Planning / Advisory role
* Experience of people management as a Team Leader / Manager
* Experience of managing staff workload; providing mentoring, coaching and support
* Experience of business development to external markets
* Experience of relationship management with internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
