We’re looking for an experienced manager to own collections end to end strategies for Unsecured Collections and Recoveries. You’ll be responsible for owning collections strategies, including contact timing, channel and Forbearance tooling and criteria across all Unsecured customers (Cards, Loans and Overdrafts).
\n
You’ll manage a team of Specialists and have next-level management responsibility for a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, with responsibility to ensure their ongoing development. You’ll also have significant experience managing individual and team workloads, making priority calls to ensure strategy optimisation is appropriately balanced against regulatory compliance.

What you’ll be doing

\n
* Ownership of all collection strategies for Unsecured Collections and Recoveries, including customer contact and Forbearance tooling.
\n
* Responsibility to fully manage the day-to-day development and prioritisation of strategy change, working closely with the local Engagement and Operations teams, and stakeholders across Risk, Finance and Commercial.
\n
* Be the face of Unsecured collections, representing the Collections and Recoveries Strategy and Operations team in stakeholder engagement sessions with Commercial and Risk colleagues, being first point of contact for any questions on Unsecured collections performance.
\n
* Shape and drive the ongoing development of Collections and Recoveries MI, in conjunction with the MI team, improving the control environment and improving insight into strategy performance and effectiveness.
\n
* Engagement with stakeholders from suppliers, especially those who support the execution of the Unsecured collections strategies.
\n
* Deputising for the Senior Strategy Manager – Collections Strategy, including representing the Collections and Recoveries teams in internal Governance and supplier meetings, and preparation of written reports up to Board level.
\n
* Effective challenge and engagement with operational and change teams to ensure safe execution of change.
\n

We need you to have
\n
\n
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
\n
* Experience of collaborating with people at all levels across the organisation to achieve the best possible result for the Bank and Customer.
\n
* Extensive Knowledge of Collections processes and practices, especially in relation to regulatory expectations.
\n
* Experience of leading a strategy team within a UK Financial Services Collections and Recoveries function.
\n
* Strong analytical skills with SAS/SQL programming skills
\n
