Job Title: IT Senior Technical Analyst
Job Type: Full Time (Mon – Fri, 37.5 hrs a week)
Location: Edenbridge, Kent (hybrid working available after successful completion of probation)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technical Analyst to join our dynamic IT Services Team based in Edenbridge, Kent. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective implementation and optimisation of technical solutions within the business.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role holder will provide both onsite and remote IT support to customers and colleagues on the Helpdesk. In addition, you will be attending client sites for support days, installations and project delivery. You will gain exposure to a wide range of technologies and will need to demonstrate technical ability and a willingness to learn and develop.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in IT gained in a similar role, have commercial awareness and use their initiative to make suggestions and improvements to clients’ infrastructure.
You will need to be quality focused, self-motivated, flexible in your approach, able to deliver high standards of customer service and be willing to travel to customer sites throughout the Southeast of England.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Providing technical support and troubleshooting for NetVector clients over the phone and using remote technologies
* Supporting and collaborating with colleagues on the helpdesk, sales and project teams
* Logging, maintaining and proactively working on tickets on the CRM system
* Attending client sites for onsite support days, project work and installations.
* Liaising with decision makers and key stakeholders at client sites to build relationships and better understand their infrastructure and commercial position
* Using initiative to identify improvements and design workable solutions for clients
* Gathering customer requirements and specifications for hardware, software and services and producing commercially viable quotations
* Improving, configuring and maintaining in house IT systems, particularly the cloud hosting infrastructure
* Undertaking research and development of new products and technologies
* Attending vendor/partner conferences to stay abreast of new developments and presenting findings back to the NetVector Management Team
* Delivering high standards of customer service through efficient and timely verbal and written communications.
* Maintaining and updating customer documentation on a day-to-day basis and following installations and upgrades
* Undertaking any recurring tasks assigned and reporting the outcome of these tasks as appropriate.
* Providing positive representation of NetVector and acting in the company’s best interests when dealing with clients and third parties.
* Ensuring up to date knowledge through continual professional development
* Completing all requested tasks from line manager within skill level and ability
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* GCSEs at grade 9-5 in English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)
* Relevant Experience in a similar role
* A full driving license and access to a car is essential. The office is in a remote location and not accessible using public transport. There is also some travel required to customer sites in the South East of England
Desirable Qualifications
* Relevant Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure qualification
Essential Skills and Knowledge
* Advanced knowledge of Networking including DHCP, DNS, VLAN
* Advanced knowledge of Firewalls including QoS, SD-WAN, Traffic Shaping, NAT
* Advanced knowledge of O365 including Security, SharePoint
* Advanced knowledge of working with Windows Server & Roles.
* Advanced knowledge of Cyber Security principles
* Advanced knowledge of Virtualisation technologies including VMWare and Hyper-V
* Advanced knowledge of back-up technologies (Veeam)
* Advanced knowledge of SIP/VOIP (3CX)
* Knowledge of MacOS
* Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus & ISO
* Knowledge of Shared Storage technologies (SAN)
* Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
* Understanding of Microsoft licensing
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
