An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Senior FP&A Manager within the Group FP&A team. This is a demanding but rewarding role and you will be joining the team at a challenging and energising time as we drive to meet our mid-term targets as set out in our Capital Markets Day last November.
Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Planning & Forecasting and acting as a Partner to the Head of Group FP&A and Divisional FP&A Heads/ Leads, this role is pivotal in ensuring that we meet our performance expectations, by providing key insights from our financial plans and long-term forecasts and where we need to make interventions to senior leadership. The role will also focus on understanding the performance and progression of the Civil Aerospace division.

What you will be doing:
In this role you will provide insight on financial performance to support decision making and in determining where interventions are required:
1. Analysing actual results and variances of our Civil business for the Head of Group Performance Management.
2. Identifying and influencing interventions to optimise performance/ achieve targeted KPIs.
3. Articulating financial performance in the context of external data and business drivers: including simplifying accounting, commercial arrangements and data to clearly explain performance; providing written inputs to senior stakeholder reports.
4. Collaboratively and constructively challenging our colleagues to help deliver financial commitments and in ensuring fair and balanced messaging.
5. Monitoring and driving compliance against group requirements: standards, guidance, instructions, timetables; ensuring analysis is robust in the context of group policies and consistency across other reports.
6. Own and deliver other group information/ processes and projects as assigned.

7. Professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience.
8. Highly analytical with a curious mindset.
9. Able to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and teams.
10. Senior Finance leader who can influence across different levels of the organisation and drive outcomes.
11. Solid grasp of the Group’s accounting policies, and construct of the financial statements.
12. Strong communication and presentation skills (written, verbal); Able to distil and simplify complex data and information.
13. Delivery focussed.
14. Organised, flexible and resilient.
