You will collaborate with internal teams and customers to ensure all the key milestones that make up the brand plan are achieved. You will need to be proactive and use your judgement on how to facilitate problem resolution as well as know when to escalate issues that may impact on the successful completion of projects.
About the role
Key focus areas of the role itself and where you will spend the majority of your time:
1. Ensure consumer understanding and key insights are at the heart of the brand strategy ensuring all activities clearly link back to deliver the plan.
2. Develop the annual brand plan and ensure excellent execution of it - review on a yearly basis.
3. Support the innovation manager with developing the 5-year brand innovation pipeline including propositions, size of prize opportunities to ensure growth ambitions are met.
4. Continually analyse portfolio performance and keep the brand proposition ahead of the competition, ensuring the optimum range on the shelf in channel, incl. formats and sub ranges.
5. Deliver yearly NPD with detailed go to market plans including sell ins, packaging design and comms launch plans – working alongside product development, sales and category from concept through to launch and evaluation.
6. Define and lead the annual media strategy and media plan & evaluation briefings.
7. Working with the Global Brands team, in-house design/creative agencies to build a strong consistent master brand identity, packaging designs and longer-term campaign creative.
8. Develop brand research projects translating findings into actionable insights.
9. Lead and implement best in class consumer activation plans (digital first strategy) and activities with clear evaluation.
10. Identify the lead partner for our on-pack partnership and activate with excellence.
11. Manage our digital and social brand presence delivering relevancy and meaningfulness to our consumers and building a real sense of community.
12. Keep track of investment and ROI for brand activities, reporting into the Marketing Director
13. Manage the marketing budget and its reporting to ensure the team is always spending efficiently.

You will be educated to degree level, commercially driven with creative flare and have a passion for growing and developing strong brands in competitive markets with a deep understanding of consumer and shopper behaviours. You will have a minimum of 6 years of relevant marketing experience and gained exposure to all elements of the marketing mix as well as possess strong strategic thinking, influencing skills and the ability to work on your own and as part of a team across multiple workstreams.
