About the Role There are 3 roles available on a part time basis for 30, 26 or 36 hours, with the shift patterns below: Shift pattern 1 for 30 hours per week:
1. Monday 12:30 – 18:30
2. Tuesday 12:30 – 18:30
3. Wednesday 8:00 – 14:00
4. Thursday 8:00 – 14:00
5. Friday – 12:30 – 18:30
Shift Pattern 2 for 26 hours per week:
6. Monday 8:00 – 13:30
7. Wednesday 8:00 – 13:30
8. Thursday 8:00 – 13:30
9. Friday – 8:00 – 18:30 (includes 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
Shift patten 3 for 36 hours:
10. Monday – 8:00 – 18:30 (includes 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
11. Tuesday - 8:00 - 13:00
12. Wednesday - 12:30 - 18:30
13. Thursday – 12:30 - 18:30
14. Friday – 8:00 – 18:30 (includes 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
You will be is responsible for:
15. Answering the telephone.
16. Managing the Patch's (online triage) request.
17. Dealing with all enquiries from patients attending the surgery.
18. Booking and cancelling appointments.
19. Booking in patients arriving for appointments.
20. Dealing with non-clinical enquiries regarding prescriptions.
21. Recording home visit requests.
22. Tidying up waiting area and clinicians’ rooms.
23. Filing of notes, correspondence, results etc.
24. Taking results via the telephone from hospitals.
25. Telephoning patients with results/scans etc., at the doctor’s request.
26. Telephoning patients when necessary.
27. Attending staff practice meetings.
28. Chaperoning for patients when necessary.
29. Using SystmOne to send internal tasks, access patient records, send internal and external messages, write patient correspondence.
About the Candidate You must be a team player with excellent communication skills, telephone manner and have the ability to work under pressure. You will have the following skills/ability:
30. Strong inter-personal and prioritisation skills.
31. Committed to delivering a quality service, be a team player and proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement them.
32. Plan ahead and respond to changes and understand the impact that these changes can have on the overall service delivery of the practice.
33. Engage effectively and handle interactions with a wide range of stakeholders and be comfortable with providing advice and support.
34. General Practice and SystmOne experience is preferable.
