Here at Rainbows Hospice, we are currently seeking an I.T Technician to act as our first point of call for any IT technical support across the Hospice, retail stores and employees working remotely. You will work closely with our IT provider, ensuring all service requests are logged, monitored, escalated and closed in a timely manner as well as support the organisation on digital communications such as the main phone system Teams Voice and mobile technology.
This role is 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday) onsite working at the Hospice on Lark Rise, Loughborough. On call occasionally out of hours for technical assistance or updates.
Rainbows hospice in Loughborough, is the only children’s hospice in the East Midlands, we provide specialist end-of-life, palliative and respite care to babies, children and young people (BCYP) with conditions that means their lives may be shorter than most.
About the role
Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
1. Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
2. Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
3. Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computer and network devices.
4. Complete all onboarding and offboarding requirements to ensure equipment is provided/reclaimed, new starters have the correct access and leavers accounts are disabled.
5. Understanding of the full MS office suite including Teams, SharePoint and portal administration.
6. Work through your own ticket queue to SLA requirements.

Requirements
Within this role it is essential that you have a minimum of a level 3 Advanced Diploma in ICT Systems Support or equivalent and have in-depth knowledge of all Microsoft packages including SharePoint, Teams Voice and Portal administration.
You will have demonstratable experience of working in a large organisation supporting IT services with extensive experience of PC hardware, operating systems and applications software including configuration, delivery and installation of PCs, monitors, terminals, printers and peripherals.
