A newly created opportunity for an experienced Procurement Category Manager to shape and embed best practice across a range of spend. With the need to be in their Cambridgeshire head office 1 day per week, this role enjoys high levels of executive support and stakeholder buy-in. Key duties will include: to develop and embed category strategies across the major categories of spend; develop and implement strategic sourcing and supplier management strategies and plans within these categories; manage procurement processes and strategic supplier relationships and rolling out commercial and contract management standards across the organisation. With a broad range of stakeholders to manage, you will develop strong working relationships and drive collaborative ways of working.
To succeed in this autonomous role, you will have demonstrable procurement experience and be well versed in Category Management principles. Experience of managing end to end procurement under PCR2015 is essential with an understanding of the new Procurement Act and completion of the associated training modules beneficial. With outstanding communication and influencing skills, you will be adept at securing buy-in at all levels of an organisation with a positive and self-motivated approach to your work.
