We are looking for a
Postdoctoral Epidemiologist to work on a Wellcome funded project which seeks to understand the impacts of alcohol drinking on health in diverse populations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a programme of research that assess the associations of alcohol drinking on a wide range of mental and physical health outcomes, investigate causal relevance, and explore the underlying biological mechanisms, which takes advantage of the breadth of multi-omic and phenotypic data available in large prospective cohorts including China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) and UK Biobank (UKB). To be considered for the Postdoctoral Epidemiologist role, you will hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD/DPhil in epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, molecular epidemiology, medical statistics or other relevant subject. You will have experience of analysing and interpreting risk factors and/or biomarker data in relation to health outcomes as well as strong programming skills in a statistical language, for example R, for data analysis and visualisation. You will also have excellent written and communication skills with strong organisational and time management skills. The position is full time (part time considered) and fixed term for 3 years.
