MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
As a Workday Engagement Managerin Kainos, you’ll fully manage the successfulimplementation of Large Enterprise Workday solutions forcustomers by working closelywith customer business teams and internal delivery teams to drive the scope, definitionand deliveryof solutions that are fit for purpose and commercially viable.You’lltake accountability for the complete delivery lifecyclealongside thesales and capability Solution Architects.You’llmanage all aspects of yourprojects, which will typically be either one large, complexproject or multiple smaller projects. This will include project planning, resourcing,milestonetracking, commercialmanagementand customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Commercially managing the implementation of global Workday programmes from pre-salesthrough implementation to hand over to AMS (Application Management Services).
2. Acting as the key client interface between functional and technical teams and the client. Dramatically offering domain experience(HCM, Fins, Payroll or where relevant to a Workday Capability)to provide functional insight andthought-leadership. Managing all aspects ofdelivery including project planning, resourcing, milestone tracking, commercialmanagementand customer satisfaction.
3. Leading and supporting blended teams of colleagues,clientand partner resources to share knowledge and develop an integrated delivery ethic.
4. Agreeingobjectives, outputs, milestones, timescale with client, together with associated contract and commercial terms.
5. Identifyingrequirements, business processes, application configurations, testing plans and other artefactsto be documentedto ensure shared understanding and facilitate knowledge transfer.
6. Creatingwell structured & accurate deliverables and presentingto clientsteeringlevelgroups to secure proposedrecommendationsand agreement.
7. Identifyingandactioningappropriatelyopportunities to win business, including negotiating and closing at a senior client level.
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
8. Experience inimplementingback officesystemswith direct experience in the successful delivery ofsolutions within a consulting environment/ ITservices environment
9. Full lifecycle project management experience, from initial opportunity through to requirement development / definition, functional solution design, implementation,data-migration, system testing, user acceptance testing, go-live and servicemanagement
10. Excellent customer focus, able to assess customer needs, build relationships and manage customer expectations. You will be able to intervene effectively and resolve customer escalationsappropriately
11. Commercial experience of managingand supportinggeographicallydistributedandblended teams of colleagues,clientand partner resources to share knowledge anddevelop an integrated delivery ethic
12. Excellent commercial management,influencingand negotiation skills
13. Excellent communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues with impact and credibility. Sound ability to formally present to senior Client audiences
14. An emerging role model within Kainosand wider Workday ecosystem
15. Excellentbusiness writing skills with experience in the production of business cases, requirement documentation, tenderdocuments, contracts, statements of work and change requests
16. Demonstrable success in identifying and taking appropriate action on opportunities for additional business.
17. Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions underpressuretaking a balanced view of customer demands and Kainos commercials
18. Ability to widen and maintain a network of external contacts
19. Understanding ofrisk management andableto manage risk
20. Able, if required, to travel to customer sites in the same region (minimal out of region travel may also be required)
21. Support the operations functionensurethat our consultant pool is used in the most commercially advantageous way, balancing development needs and personalpreferences
