In this role you'll have the opportunity to use your finely tuned organisational skills and knack for producing accurate work efficiently, whilst growing your accounts experience within our Mental Capacity team. *The Court of Protection is involved when someone is assessed to lack mental capacity to make a decision for themselves. Our Court of Protection Team primarily specialises in supporting clients (adults and children) who have lost capacity as a result of a traumatic brain injury. The team currently supports in the region of 200 clients with in excess of £200m cash and investments to manage.
What you'll do
You will play a key role in our continued success; to achieve this you will work with the team leader and others within the wider mental capacity team to offer support to the client base on all matters related to financial functions. Your work will encompass carrying out bank reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated correctly and to report on cash-flow. You will also be responsible for opening accounts as appropriate in individuals’ names, filling out forms such as standing orders, making payments on their behalf and ad hoc data entry. Your focus will be ensuring appropriate quality service and compliance for all matters in accordance with agreed standard policies. Ensuring client service is central to everything you do; you will consistently meet KPI and targets alongside other broader objectives as agreed on a quarterly and annual basis as part of the Team plans.
What we're looking for
With admin experience (and an interest in bookkeeping/finance); we are looking for somebody with a flexible and enthusiastic approach seeking an opportunity to pursue a role within a finance team. All-round communication skills: including the capability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members, you will understand the importance of knowledge management and sharing. This is a great opportunity for someone who has good organisational skills, the ability to produce accurate work efficiently, and excellent attention to detail (to process numerical data in Excel and Word).
