Do you love helping people find their perfect career? Are you passionate about diversity and social mobility? Do you want to join a growing, purpose-led business? If you answered yes, then we have an opportunity for you At Visionpath, we make early careers more equal. We're an early talent specialist shaping the futures of school leavers from diverse social backgrounds. Our belief is that a young person’s background shouldn’t limit their potential. That’s why we partner with forward-thinking employers on programmes to inspire, engage and hire school leavers; helping businesses attract diverse future talent and unlocking careers for those who wouldn’t normally have the opportunity. We’ve worked with over 40,000 students and our clients include SMEs and global leaders in sectors like banking, insurance, professional services and technology. We’re multi-award winning too, with recent wins including the Institute of Student Employers "Best Apprentice Development Programme". ABOUT THE ROLE: As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of our social mobility programmes with top employers, helping to upskill young people, give them mentoring and insight to shape their future careers, and create routes into apprenticeships. This role is all about ensuring our programmes support young people with their skills and development while ensuring we deliver on our employer partners’ aims and objectives too. We’re looking for someone who’s experienced in managing programmes and building positive relationships with different stakeholder groups. As our work is all about getting school leavers upskilled for their future careers, some experience working with young people would be desirable, especially in an employability context. You’ll be working with some leading employers too, so experience of corporate partnerships would be an advantage. What sort of work will you be doing in this role? Well, it’s varied and no two days are the same, but on a programme you’re managing you could expect to: Oversee the programme plan, ensuring it’s delivered effectively and meets the needs of everyone involved. Manage programme delivery on a day-to-day basis. Act as Account Manager for employer partners in the legal, professional and financial services sectors. Lead the coordination of key programmes, with the support of colleagues to set up workshops and events, engage and train volunteers and ensure all logistical arrangements are in place for our programmes. Manage partnerships with schools and colleges on key programmes. Be a trusted point of contact for students on programmes to support their aims and objectives, so they have the best experience working with us. Help to facilitate and deliver high impact workshops and training sessions with students and corporate mentors. Please note this role will require occasional travel within the UK to visit schools and client locations. This could involve early starts, later finishes and overnight stays, Monday to Friday only (no weekend working). This is a permanent, full-time role (Monday-Friday 09.00-17.00) with a salary of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience. ABOUT YOU: We're looking for someone who is passionate about social mobility and our mission to make early careers more equal. You'll be driven to unlock opportunities for young people, support their development and help them build successful careers. You will also: Have strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand and support our clients to achieve their aims and objectives, while making a positive social impact. Have experience in account or partnership management, understanding the importance of effective communication, great customer service and robust programme management, working with a variety of stakeholders and managing a variety of tasks and deadlines. Be detail-orientated while able to keep sight of wider aims and objectives, so we achieve success for all our partners and stakeholders on our programmes. Be a confident self-starter and comfortable working on your own initiative. Be adaptable and have a can-do attitude, willing to support colleagues on a variety of projects and tasks. Be outgoing and confident, with experience of presenting to groups and/or delivering training sessions. If that sounds like you, then we'd love to hear from you Applications close at 5pm on Friday 13 th December with interviews in early January 2025. We may review applications and conduct interviews with suitable candidates before this date, which could lead to the role being closed earlier. Please note that as this role involves working with young people in regulated activity, an enhanced DBS check (including children’s barred list) will be required for the successful applicant.
