Job Scope Reporting to the Production Director, the Production Manager will be an energetic and visible leader with responsibility for overseeing the small team of staff for the assembly of our appliances in our Lisburn facility. The role includes building and managing a team, ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining production schedules, and meeting quality standards. This position plays a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and ensuring timely delivery of our high-quality products. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing and related activities Allocate resources efficiently to ensure optimal production output while minimising downtime to ensure the Assembly function meets the production schedule Lead and motivate the team to achieve high levels of productivity and engagement. Monitor the assembly, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Monitor, communicate and improve department KPIs around Safety, Quality and Schedule, meeting schedule and quality expectations while ensuring the best working practices are maintained. Create and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules. Represent the assembly function in the various governance meetings held within the business Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control. Proactively ensure Assembly output and on time delivery is achieved Supervisory As part of growing the APT Innovation Ltd production team, this role will offer the opportunity to enjoy a varied role overseeing production, assembly, quality control, packaging & shippingprocesses. Key responsibilities are summarised below. Manage team performance, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities. Carry out performance appraisals and objective setting in line with the overall company objectives and strategy. Resolve personnel issues and manage workforce capacity, including recruitment and training. Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages communication and continuous improvement Manual handling activities from goods inwards to shipping outwards. Responsible for overseeing housekeeping activities and stock keeping. Quality Ensure all products meet or exceed company quality standards and customer expectations. Manage all non-conformances from assembly, ensuring appropriate root cause, corrective actions are in place and rolled out to the team Identify areas for process improvement to enhance product quality and reduce defects. Health & Safety Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies & procedures across the assembly floor. Promote a positive culture of safety, conducting regular safety walks and ensuring the Home Safe Everyday message is at the forefront of everyone in the team Ensure any H&S investigations are concluded in a timely manner with appropriate corrective actions to eliminate reoccurrence. Participate in the refinement and implementation of Assembly Risk Assessments and Method Statements Ensure the Assembly teams are maintaining the relevant 6S standards throughout the Assembly area.
