Job purpose
As a technician you will be working within a shift team based on the Late's, Earlies and Night pattern (LEN) within the SCAT Operations department
You will ensure compliance with customer and legislative requirements, giving due consideration at all times to Quality standards, EHS and Sustainability.
You apply knowledge of internal techniques and standards to assist with the overall improvement of products and processes in order to gain competitive advantage.
You will be sampling catalysts which includes, but not limited to, Oven ageing of parts, preparing samples and putting them on test rigs, removing samples, processing data (using a predefined macro), maintaining equipment and carrying out team duties such as 5S, ordering and project to continuously improve the department.

Your responsibilities:
1. Prepare samples and carry out the assigned testing according to pre-defined quality standards and the testing schedule provided.
2. Follow the defined operation, maintenance and calibration procedures on a daily basis; liaise with trainer/Shift Leader/Line Management to ensure these are followed to maintain testing quality and customer confidence
3. Liaise with trainer/Shift Leader as necessary to clarify any special test requirements.
4. Maintain correct testing records using the iCAT log
5. Rectify any anomalies found upon result checks under the guidance of the Shift Leader
